Ursula Andress in Doctor No,
the first James Bond film
I just reviewed the
James Bond series at my companion site, 1000 Dvds to See.
I concentrated on my favorite Sean Connery films and Casino Royale, the first with Daniel Craig. Personally, I didn't like any of the Roger Moore or Pierce Brosnan 007 films, so I didn't mention those at all.
Check them out, they are timeless, along with the novels by Ian Fleming.
Diana Rigg and George Lazenby, in
On Her Majesty's Secret Service
This was the only film in which Bond got married
Thank you so much for this wonderful shop window Leif. I can barely see through the tears of joy to type this message.

ReplyDeleteI apologize if You've answered this already in Your blog; but I'm not finding it, have been looking everywhere online and think You may have the answer!
I saw a black and white film years ago that was shot in the '50s or '60s by a marina in a small italian village. I'd thought it was starring Gina Lolabrigita but am certain now it wasn't her. Doensn't feel like Sophia Loren either. She played a prostitute, but in a light-hearted romantic comedy way. She wore lovely white cotton dresses and rode a bicycle. Small boys whistled at her and she was kind and friendly to everyone. The men of the village were all in love with her and very almost big-brotherly protective of her. Of course, the entire village ends up loving her for some reason I can't remember. And I think a writer fell i love with her. It's making my brain itch! I wanted to share it with a couple of friends but can't even remember what it was. Does any of that ring a bell?
Thank You for Your time!!!!!
