The only film I can think of to add, so good they made a crummy remake with Tom Hanks: The Tall Blond Man With One Black Shoe [Yves Robert, France] - comedy of a bumbling orchestral musician (played by Pierre Richard) mistaken for a secret agent due to unmatching shoes (that was the signal!), then is hounded by both sides in a spy game. Both a sequel and the Hanks remake were forgettable, but the original is hilarious. I believe this was based on a Hitchcock spy film
