Cannes Awards Announced for 2009
The Palm d'Or this year went to Austrian Michael Haneke's The White Ribbon
The Jury Prize was awarded to Andrea Arnold's Fish Tank, and Park Chan-Wook's Thirst (they share the award)
Director was a surprise: Filipino director Brillante Mendoza for Kinatay.
Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds got an acting award only for Christolph Waltz, a major disappointment for Quentin.
